Scaling Sustainable Materials: Innovation and Investment at Rethinking Materials Summit

As governments crack down with new regulations, there has never been a more important time for business leaders to unite to discuss accelerating the adoption of sustainable materials to future-proof businesses and achieve sustainable supply chains.

Taking place on May 14-15 at the Hilton London Bankside, Rethinking Materials is an international event connecting technology pioneers with investors and corporate partners to scale innovation in new materials for consumer goods – including packaging, fashion, durable goods, personal care, and beauty.

This week the speaking faculty has grown to include innovation leaders from UNILEVER, GANNI, DOW, BMW, DELIVEROO, H&M GROUP VENTURES, SOFINNOVA PARTNERS, COLLATERAL GOOD and DS SMITH.

Attracting a multi-industry audience of C-Suite and Director-level decision makers including CEOs, Heads of Innovation, R&D, and Investment, the summit sets out to unite material innovation leaders to develop actionable insights for the future. The agenda poses challenges and solutions faced by leaders in the materials space, who are looking for answers:

  • How can we accelerate the adoption of sustainable, alternative materials?
  • How is innovation supporting companies reach net-zero commitments?
  • What are the opportunities for investment?
  • How are stakeholders working to deploy the capital required by climate-tech entrepreneurs?
  • How can we overcome major industry challenges in flexible packaging and footwear?

Pioneering solutions and technologies will be showcased via on-stage pitching sessions, booths, and a dedicated start-up exhibition, to support companies searching for innovation partners and viable solutions ready to commercialise. More information on the featured start-ups will be announced in March.

Two days of thought-leadership debate, group discussions, product demonstrations, start-up pitches, targeted 1-1 meetings and a busy exhibition make this a stand-out event for technology discovery, investment, and partnerships.

Key areas for discussion include funding and investment, AI-driven solutions, sustainable feedstocks, the regulatory landscape, traceability and transparency, regenerative and novel materials, recyclability, performance, designing out waste and the role of paper.

The summit is currently offering a £300 discount off summit passes, ending on Thursday April 4.
