DNA Of Success: Ho Ren Hua Leads Thai Wah To Launch First Tapioca-Based Bioplastics At Commercial Scale
Ho Ren Hua is the CEO of Thai Wah, a Thailand-based company that specializes in manufacturing tapioca starch, vermicelli and noodle products. The company was set up by Ho’s grandfather in 1947, and throughout the years, it grew into an agrifood company that has now 15 operations across Asia.
With sustainability at the core of the business, Ho said Thai Wah will be launching the first generation of tapioca-based bioplastics in January 2022 that helps address the need for sustainable packaging. He said it’ll be the first tapioca-based bioplastic that’s launched at a commercial scale.
